Thanks to politicians scared to tackle the 2nd amendment, once again, America has awaken to another school tragedy where 17 students were gunned down by 19-year old Nikolas Cruz. There were 14 others injured and the difference here is the gunman was taken alive. But so what? The parents of the children who only wanted to go to school, hang with friends, learn a few things and go home have a huge amount who won’t arrive the next day. Instead, they’re having their funerals prepared. And for what? So the NRA could lobby for more guns everywhere to people like Senator Marco Rubio? The National Rifle Association (NRA) is silent once again as gun-related tragedies never enter their radars. Instead, they petition gun shills like Dana Loesch who try to deflect the issue towards mental health as if bullets flying through teenage bodies have nothing to do with guns. Go figure.
America has a gun problem
We once asked if police lives were more valuable than regular citizens but now in a similar fashion, we’re asking if the 2nd Amendment is king of all! An idea that came about in the 1780s during the ratification of the Bill of Rights is more important than the 17 lives lost in Parkland, FL, the 58 dead in Las Vegas, the 49 shot dead in Orlando, FL, the nine churchgoers in North Carolina, the 26 adults and little kids shot to death at Sandy Hook… The list goes on and on and on. And what is offered for each one especially by Conservative and Republican lawmakers? “Thoughts and Prayers”. So…where does that leave you, your family members or your friends when they become the next victim of a gun shooting? Just more calls for “mental health” during their “opioid” crisis. Smokescreen.
So, let’s talk about it! Why is your life less valued than the 2nd Amendment?
