How Has White Privilege Oppressed People of Color? #051

You’ve never heard a White person complain about not being represented in Hollywood or wonder why so few people who lack melanin are at their jobs. They almost never complain about being fearful of the police beating them down or fearing a system when caught stealing money from the poor when they, themselves are wealthy. This is White privilege and we discuss how it oppresses people of color and what steps White people can take to use their privilege for good instead of denying it’s existence or using it for selfish needs. Using history as a guide, it’s pretty easy to see where it began in America *cough*1492*cough*. The fact that in 2017, people are still denying it’s existence is a weak excuse to keep it alive.
