What a ride! We did something so simple like convert our personal discussions into podcasts and we made it last…all the way to 100. From the beginning, our only suggestion was to create a format where we could invite our intellectual friends to chat with us on topics we know they’d be knowledgeable about. We may have a lot of answers to things but we certainly don’t know all of them! So, to share ideas with our friends and then broadcast them to the world was just for fun.
Well, that “fun” idea along with a presidency that’s been completely abnormal has led to not only creative discussions but also some new friends along the way. We were able to involve ourselves in the Stronger Together AZ group, Save Our Schools, and We the People Summit and interview many as well. Topics ranged from whether a civilian’s life is as valuable as a cop’s and our favorite TV theme songs to how DACA makes America great and accepting sexting while in a relationship.
Our guests have varied from attorneys, friends, activists, new progressives, candidates, and more. We are requested by many for interviews in the valley and are always happy to set something up because we know they have knowledge that should be shared and if nothing else, a varying opinion. Our website and social networks are chock full of media from us and there’s always more to come.
100 episodes has taught us that there isn’t a topic out there we can’t discuss as a couple, individuals, activists, people of color, and students of life. Zod & Drea are an item and there’s so much more to come from us. We want to thank everybody who has supported us from either listening, commenting, or giving us feedback. Without you, then this is all pointless. Special shoutout to the Zod & Drea Think Tank who provide us with all kinds of discussions and points of views that often times, make it on the show.
