In 2019, with it being a new time and a whole new generation of brides and grooms, are fairytales still the standard of wedding day bliss? Is the cost worth the aggravation? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took over the world in a day when they were married in England in a royal wedding. The world swooned as they pretended to live in her shoes for the day. But is this really what women want? Do they want the castle, flowers, dress with the extremely long train, the choir, and finally..to be married to a real-life prince? If so, when had this begun to surface as a common fantasy of women?
We dig a little deeper into it and see where men also lay in this belief of a fairytale wedding and how does the Disney company play into this entire fantasy? It’s fun to pretend but when it comes to a large and elaborate wedding, is the hype and expense worth it for a few hours in a single day?
